LEAGUE/SEASON UPDATE

We have reached the 3/4 mark of the regular season.  With 10 weeks down & the Trade Deadline passed we only 3 weeks left in the regular season & every team still mathematically eligible for the playoffs.  Only 4 teams are currently in trouble of missing the playoffs:

#7 JERSEY WAHOOS (4-6)

#8 PINEAPPLE EXPRESS (4-6)

#9 RODNROLN (3-7)

#10 TEAM PREMIER (3-7)

A loss this week will pretty much eliminate RodnRoln & Team Premier, and make it very tough for Jersey Wahoos & Pineapple Express to make the playoffs.  They would need to both win their last 2 games & get a lot of help from the other teams in the form of losses.

This year the league saw an unprecedented amount of activity at the Trade Deadline.  Only Bulldogs, CowTown Rodeo Queen, & Just Bring It sat out of the trading action.  The ability to trade future draft picks seem to be the driving force behind the numerous trades between teams.  Trailer Trash & Jersey Wahoos ony took part in one trade, while Fist Pumpers, RodnRoln, Team Premier, Pineapple Express, & TomBrady's JockStrap (Soon to be re-named) all took part in two different trades.  Below is a snapshot of each trade starting from the first to the last:

TRADES OF THE DAY:

1)  In the first trade of the day, RodnRoln sent superstar WR Calvin Johnson (#1 WR, #30 Overall) & their 2012 3rd Round Pick to Trailer Trash for WR Laurent Robinson (# 32 WR) currently on a hot streak & their 2012 2nd Round Draft Pick.  This gives RodnRoln TWO 2012 2nd Round Picks with NO 3rd Round Pick & Trailer Trash TWO 2012 3rd Round Picks with NO 2nd Round Pick.

2)  RodnRoln in their second trade of the day sent superstar RB Ray Rice (#4 RB, #27 Overall) & one of their two 2012 2nd Round Picks to Fist Pumpers for RB Jackie Battle (#38 RB) & their 2012 1st Round Pick.  This gives RodnRoln TWO 2012 1st Round Picks & ONE 2nd Round Pick, while Fist Pumpers now have TWO 2012 2nd Round Picks & NO 2012 First Round Pick.   

3)  Team Premier in their first trade of the day sent superstar RB LeSean McCoy (#1 RB, #22 Overall) & their 2012 6th Round Pick to Fist Pumpers in their second trade of the day for RB DeAngelo Williams (#37 RB) & one of their two 2012 2nd Round Picks.  This gives Team Premier TWO 2012 2nd Round Picks with NO 2012 6th Round Pick, while Fist Pumpers now have only ONE 2012 2nd Round Pick & NO 2012 1st Round Pick.

4)  Pineapple Express in their first trade of the day sent RB/WR Dexter McCluster (#44 RB, #64 WR) & their 2012 2nd Round Pick to Jersey Wahoos in their only trade of the day for Superstar/Often Injured RB Frank Gore (#11 RB, #44 Overall) & their 2012 6th Round Pick.  This gives Pineapple Express TWO 2012 6th Round Picks with NO 2012 2nd Round Pick, while Jersey Wahoos now has TWO 2012 2nd Round Picks & NO 2012 6th Round Pick.

5)  Pineapple Express in their second trade of the day sent QB Philip Rivers (#11 QB/Overall), WR Vincent Jackson (#9 WR, #58 Overall), RB Darren Sproles (#8 RB, #40 Overall), & their 2012 1st Round Pick to TomBrady's JockStrap in their first trade of the day for QB Tom Brady (#3 QB/Overall), WR Santonio Holmes (#27 WR), RB James Starks (#30 RB), & their 2012 3rd Round Draft Pick.  This gives Pineapple Express TWO 2012 3rd Round Picks with NO 2012 1st Round Pick & NO 2012 2nd Round Pick, while TomBrady's JockStrap now has TWO 2012 1st Round Picks & NO 2012 3rd Round Pick.

6) In the last trade of the day, TomBrady's JockStrap & Team Premier, in their second trades of the day, finalized a deal at almost literally the last minute of the Trade Deadline (11:58pm).  TomBrady's JockStrap sent superstar WR Dez Bryant (#20 WR), #1 back-up RB Ben Tate (#24 RB, #72 Overall), & their 2012 2nd Round Pick to Team Premier for workhorse/often hurt RB Steven Jackson (#10 RB, #45 Overall),  superstar WR Roddy White (#17 WR), & their 2012 3rd Round Pick.  The final trade of the day give TomBrady's JockStrap TWO 2012 1st Round Picks, NO 2012 2nd Round Pick, & gets back their 2012 3rd Round Pick, while Team Premier now has THREE 2012 2nd Round Picks, NO 2012 3rd Round Pick, & NO 2012 6th Round Pick.
