WEEK 5 PREVIEW

The season is just past the 1/4 mark.  The standings are looking pretty interesting.  In the BUD LIGHT division only one team has a winning record.  TomBrady's JockStrap (4-0) is sitting on the top of the Division & League as the only undefeated team left.  Sitting at 2-2, Fist Pumpers & Pineapple Express are #'s 2 & 3 in the Division & #'s 3 & 4 in the League overall.  Pineapple Express is on a 2 game win streak after starting the year 0-2.  Rounding out the Division is Jersey Wahoos & Team Premier both at 1-3.  They are both on 2 game losing streaks.  The interesting thing is both of those teams finished in the top 4 last year.  The MILLER LITE division looks very similar to the BUD LIGHT division.  CowTown Rodeo Queen is in 1st place with a 3-1 record & riding a 3 game win streak.  She has also posted the highest points total in League History by scoring 192 points against Trailer Trash in week 2.  In 2nd, 3rd, & 4th are Just Bring It, Bulldogs, & Trailer Trash all sitting 2-2.  Bulldogs are on a 2 game losing streak after starting 2-0, while Trailer Trash is riding a 2 game win streak after that beatdown in week 2, leaving them 0-2.  Rounding out the Division riding a 3 game losing streak is the reigning/defending champs RodnRoln at 1-3.  With this week the start of "BYE WEEKS", on to the Matchup Previews:

JERSEY WAHOOS (1-3) vs. BULLDOGS (2-2)

Series Record:  Tied 1-1

Jersey Wahoos look to be playing their JV team with most of their stars out.  Romo, D. Thomas, Marshall, & Hillis are on byes while A. Johnson is out a couple weeks with a shoulder injury.  Bulldogs look to be in a lot better shape.  Miles Austin is the only one of their starters out on bye.  Per the Yahoo Projections, its looking like the Jersey Wahoos JV team is gonna take the win.  But Fantasy Football isnt played on paper.

TRAILER TRASH (2-2) vs. PINEAPPLE EXPRESS (2-2)

Series Record:  Pineapple Express 5-1

Both teams are coming into this game riding 2 game win streaks after starting the season 0-2.  For Trailer Trash, only Jason Witten & Torrey Smith are on byes.  For Pineapple Express, only Davone Bess & Ryan Torain are on byes.  So it looks like both teams are pretty much at full strength.  Per the Yahoo Projections, it looks like Trailer Trash will pull this one out in a nail-biter and continue their winning streak to 3 games in a row.

RODNROLN (1-3) vs. TEAM PREMIER (1-3)

Series Record:  RodnRoln 3-1

The 2010 Super Bowl Game Rematch and who would have thought???  The top two teams from last season are coming into this game, both, on 3 game losing streaks, both, in last place in their Division, & both the lowest ranked teams in the league at #'s 9 & 10.  This isn't a do or die game yet, but it is very important for both teams to get a win here & start to try & turn their season around.  RodnRoln is looking to pull out a win with their #1 pick Ray Rice out this week on a bye.  Team Premier is playing without Steven Jackson & Santana Moss.  Per the Yahoo Projections, Team Premier is favored to win by 18.

** CIVIL WAR/NAIL-BITER GAME OF THE WEEK **

TOMBRADY'S JOCKSTRAP (4-0) vs. JUST BRING IT (2-2)

Series Record:  TomBrady's JockStrap 4-3

Battle of the Brother-In-Laws.  These two teams know each other pretty well, having played 7 times in 3 seasons.  TomBrady's JockStrap comes into this game riding a 4 game win streak & the only team undefeated this season.  Just Bring It is coming into this game following a beatdown by Pineapple Express that garnered Pineapple Express the "Blowout of the Week".  TomBrady's JockStrap is looking a little weak due to two of their best players on byes in Felix Jones & Dez Bryant.  Just Bring It is having to play this week with Anquan Boldin & Tim Hightower on byes.  Per Yahoo Projections, TomBrady's JockStrap is favored by a mere 4.3 points giving them their fifth win in a row, & keeping them undefeated.

** GAME OF THE WEEK **

FIST PUMPERS (2-2) vs. COWTOWN RODEO QUEEN (3-1)

Series Record:  Fist Pumpers 1-0

After 2 losses in a row, Fist Pumpers comes into this game with their confidence soaring after a 52.5 point beatdown of the Bulldogs.  The team is built like the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL with playmakers at all positions.  Unfortunately, they have under-achieved just like the Eagles have so far.  CowTown Rodeo Queen, after starting 0-1 has rattled off 3 straight wins.  One win in particular was the week 2 beatdown of Trailer Trash by 54 points & breaking the League record for points scored in a single game - 192.  Luckily, Fist Pumpers & CowTown Rodeo Queen are both coming into this game at full strength with only a regular bench warmer for Fist Pumpers on a bye (Montario Hardesty).  Per Yahoo Projections, CowTown Rodeo Queen is favored to win their 4th straight.
